A zoom consultation lasts an hour and involves running a property or properties or your choice. Typical themes that arise during zoom consultations include - where to start, what to look out for when viewing fixer upper type houses, how to reimage a property, the cost of doing work, running through a quotation a client received from a builder, assessing interim valuations and acting as a sounding board.

A Home Renovation Assessment involves Shay coming to visit your home or a property you're planning to buy.
During the Home Renovation Assessment Shay will walk through the property with you and ask you to outline your brief. Shay will then work through an information gathering questionnaire with you to ensure all of your wants and needs are captured. At this point Shay will outline any concerns, challenges or cost implications of some of the ideas present.
Shay being Shay will highlight lots of things during the home assessment that you'll most likely not have considered or noticed.
During his time on site Shay will carry out a detailed measure of the property and take photos/ videos. Shay will then go off and work on a putting a cost plan together which will outline how much the work you discussed is likely to cost. You'll receive a copy of the costings by email along with a completed copy of the questionnaire. Shay will also organise a follow up delivered on Zoom to discuss the information he provided you with and answer any questions you may have.
The benefit of booking Shay is that he has in dept knowledge having worked as a construction cost constant for many years along with many years working as a contractor renovating and refurbishing old houses and buildings.
A Home Renovation Assessment costs €950.00 inclusive of VAT provided your property is within a 45 minute commute of our base in Swords, Co Dublin.

It’s possible to avail of between €50,000.00 and €70,000.00 through the Croí Conaithe scheme. In order to apply for the grant it’s necessary to complete a form. We’ll complete the costs section of the form for you to enable you to apply and secure the grant you need to transform a vacant or derelict property. Getting us to complete the form costs €210.00 incl VAT and is only available to those that we’ve done a zoom consultation, home assessment or cost plan for.
